Only Way For God To Transform a Life

Paul poses 3 questions to snap the Galatians out of the spell that they’ve come under convincing them that works of the law is the way to go…

1. Did we receive the Spirit through the works of the law?

Of course that’s a “no.” But how easy is it when we come to Christ to end up working for our righteousness? We come to Christ believing he paid it all on the cross and he’s the only way to salvation, but then take matters into our own hands.

2. Do we perfect ourselves by the flesh?

Again, the answer is “no!” How crazy does it sound to put it like this, right? No way we can perfect ourselves. But we sure do try!

3. Does the Spirit & miracles work by faith or the law?

Ever seen the Spirit work because you don’t go to ‘R’ rated movies? Ever seen the Spirit work because you didn’t take a drink? How about that tattoo? Spirit work less because you have it? Does the Spirit work more in my life because I don’t have one or 40?

Our #1 desire must be the Spirit work in our lives. And the #1 miracle is the transformation that only the Spirit can do. And neither of those happen because we follow a bunch of rules.

For God to work, we must Hear & Follow him alone. The Father…The Son…The Holy Spirit.

If we’re under the spell of rules & works, now is the time to repent. Ask God to show you what it is to follow him alone.

Because it is only God who can transform a life.
