God’s Power Our Strength

ShaneTeaching

Everyday Prayer: Let me wait on your power so I receive your strength.

David is witnessing the power of God through a storm. And he’s imagining God showing up on earth. And if God showed up on earth and spoke it would snap the cedars of Lebanon in half. The cedars of Lebanon are the equivalent of the redwoods of California. God’s voice is stronger than any human and any human invention!

We can trust God through all the situations we’ve looked at in Psalms because God is all-powerful. His voice alone would snap the strongest of trees in half! And this power gives us all the strength we need to go through the most stormy of lives.

This series is working through the everyday prayers seen in Psalms. How these prayers can impact our lives, even though we’re living 3,000 years later! Today’s reading is Psalm 29.
