Doing Good in Suffering

Life Point: Freedom is doing good always, even if we suffer for it.

This is an incredibly difficult topic for a variety of reasons. We’re viewing the Reading Plan through the lense of Daniel’s experiences. Daniel chose to work for, serve and respect the world dominating tyrant that was King Nebuchadnezzar. Why? For him, it was because he knew the freedom in serving, no matter how other people treat us. Now, we point back to the cross of Jesus. Jesus empathizes with suffering and injustice. Because it was unjust for him to die on the cross with our sins on him. But he freely served because he didn’t demand others treat him a certain way before he served.

Today’s Reading is from 1 Peter 2:13-25.
